School-aged kids in School Years 3-6 & 7-12 are invited to join us for FREE 'pick-up' hockey games.

THE DETAILS

No prior experience required, we encourage friend groups to come and try together.

Join us for 1 week, or all 4!. Sessions will be run on Monday Afternoons over 6, 13, 20, 27 Feb '23

Session 1: 4.30-5.15pm = School years 3-4 & 5-6
Session 2: 5.30-6.30pm = School years 7-9 & 10-12

Just show up (no need to rsvp).

THE FORMAT

• 10min warm-up to introduce basic hockey skills to start
• 1/4 field games with sideboards
• Field players only (no GKs)
• Indoor/summer hockey rules (modified for the age-groups to match skill and safety)
• Pick-up style --> Number of players will depend on how many kids turn up each week.
• Bibs provided to allocate teams.
• Softer "Joey" ball for safety
• Nil scoring. Promote Fun (not formal rules).

EQUIPMENT

• Players just need a mouthguard and shinpads.
• Hockey sticks will be avaliable to borrow
